Online Graduate Programs for Human Resource Management?

I am working as a recruiter but would like to eventually advance my career in Human Resource Management. Currently living in an Asian country and thinking about a graduate degree in the field.
I have found 5 schools as listed below:

Penn State
University of London
University of Illinois(Ed Masters, HRD)
University of Maryland
University of Manchester

Does anyone have experience with these programs or know about them?
In fact I will pursue another graduate degree in psychology/counseling but not too soon.
Any advice is welcome – only serious ones. Thank you in advance.
These are all ONLINE degrees by the way…!

Reputable online graduate degree programs?

I noticed that NYU has an online management and systems. But, I’m looking for something along the lines of marketing, graphic design, and communications.

I have career experience (2-3 years), and my GPA my undergraduate program was weak.

What REPUTABLE online degree programs are there out there for me?

Personally, I am NOT looking for the classic online schools like Strayer, etc. I’m looking for programs that people wouldn’t associate with “online school” when I mention it.

Do I have any options?
I’m NOT looking for “online degree screening” Web sites. I have tried those.

I really am seeking specific examples of programs at schools.

E.g. “Masters in Managment and Systems at New York University…” .. or the “State University of X has an online Masters of Communications and has alternative admissions criteria.”
As I said, I have ALREADY SEARCHED.

I’m looking for SPECIFIC EXAMPLES OF PROGRAMS– and experiences others have had with those schools.

Anyone know of any online masters (graduate) degree programs in the United States that are online in math?

Anyone know of any online masters (graduate) degree programs in the United States that are online? IMPORTANT:I am only interested in programs from schools that have traditional on campus degrees as well. What I mean is not schools like University of Phoenix which mostly offer programs online. Here’s an example: Texas A & M has a masters program in math online: http://distance-ed.math.tamu.edu/
Even though Texas A & M is a well-known traditional school. I don’t mind if the degree has a small concentration in something else like education as long as the degree has a main focus on math. As I am not a Texas resident tuition would be about $1,000 per credit so I am looking for something cheaper.

What are the best brick and mortar universities offering online graduate degree programs?

As I am currently living overseas and I will have to stay for a long time, my only chance to get my degree is to enroll in an online program. I used to go to AMU (American Military University) for my Bachelor’s and I was very satisfied with the quality of education they provided but I was just wondering what other universities other people would recommend for someone seeking a graduate program? (preferably in Finance or International Relations)

I am looking for a regionally AND nationally accredited institution that has a real campus. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I would also appreciate if someone could tell me if there are any other important criteria I should be aware of regarding online/distance education.
I am very grateful for providing so many links and I am sure there are many good programs but these are not related to my field of interest, which is International Relations or MBA in Finance.

I’m looking for Online Graduate Degree Programs (Ph.D) from Accredited Universities (Not diploma mills)?

Can anyone help me? This is the only useful link I have found and it is out of date. I’m looking for U.S. colleges and universities.

Thanks!
Sorry “on-line” isn’t quite the right term. “Off campus” is the better term. It’s a mix of on-line courses, weekend and summer seminars, and 1on1 time with your research professor, advisor, dissertation committee, etc..

What to Expect From Online Degree Programs

Online degree programs are not the ideal choice for everyone. Some students perform better in traditional environments where they can receive the lectures, materials, and assistance directly from teachers. Online degree programs also reduce the interaction among fellow students, as most of the correspondence is conducted online. This can be a bit too impersonal for some students who need that live interaction.

Online degree programs are largely self-directed. By that, I mean that these programs are designed for a student who is disciplined enough to direct studies himself or herself, obtain the key learning objectives for the course, and glean any information that might be suitable based on that individual’s learning goals. The feedback is often limited, but quite useful, and grades are less important than the development of skills that will be essential for future success.

Be wary of those schools promising an online degree with little to no effort on your part. These programs are likely just out to take your money, and will prove worthless if you use that degree to obtain an advanced position or to pursue additional educational opportunities. Any worthwhile degree program will require substantial work and commitment from the student. Here is a short list of what to expect and prepare for:

- Be prepared to set aside time on a daily basis for coursework. Try to avoid distractions (television, telephone, or family members) whenever possible. A quiet room set aside as an office or study would be ideal.

- Do plan on having less time for your family. Let your family know why you are pursuing this program, and maintain communication with them so that you do not alienate yourself completely (which can be easy to do).

- Do plan on reading extensively. Prepare for quite some time spent in front of the computer. A personal suggestion would be to set aside time to visit the library once per week to get you away from the computer for a short time and provide an alternative source for research materials.

- Hone your writing skills, as you will be using them considerably for the coming months or years. If you are just beginning on your educational adventure, you will be afforded classes that will help you with your writing skills. As a graduate student, you will likely be expected to have advanced writing abilities.

- Your computer is your lifeline to your classroom. Make a contingency plan and test the viability of this plan over the course of your studies. If you are just beginning an online degree program, I might suggest purchasing a new computer, as this will remove any uncertainty related to your computing hardware and software at the onset.

An online degree can be an extraordinarily satisfying learning experience for many working adults. While there will certainly be challenges, the rewards upon graduation are far greater. Preparing for your journey towards your online degree will be vital towards success.
